I am so glad I found your post, my sony vayo is a week old, it runs on Vista but I want to switch to XP and I think I need all the help I can get on finding the right drivers and windows driver updates. Thanks for sharing all the resources, I'll check them for further information.
Wow, Sony actually Supports XP downgrade! Compaq Sux
I hope you guys will take the time to thank them for supporting your downgrade to XP. I have been so frustrated with Compaq, First fear-mongering me for a year that XP doesn't support SATA so I CAN"T downgrade. Then when I find out they are outright Lying, They don't have any single source page for the downgrade like Sony gives you guys. Be thankful. Its been a pain just to get back online with this A900 and XP.
